Professor and Massage Therapist Program Director
The Massage Therapist program at CCAC has been led by Professor Kevin Anderson since 2013. Kevin is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, as well as being a Licensed Massage Therapist in Pennsylvania. Here's what Kevin has to say about his experience:
I'm a Massage Therapist.
I am a strong believer in taking advantage of what nature and the universe has given us in order to be happy, healthy and alive. Massage Therapy is absolutely effective for a number of conditions. Whether someone is suffering from chronic pain or dysfunction or simply needing a well-deserved "time out", massage therapy is one of the most rewarding experiences. I have been practicing massage since 2002, and teaching it for almost as long. My specialties include corrective and orthopedic massage for pain, but I never turn down a request for relief from stress and enjoy getting regular massages myself.
I'm an Educator.
For the past decade and more, I have been working as an educator of future and practicing licensed massage therapists and other allied health professionals. Teaching to inspire, I currently hold the position of Professor and Massage Therapy Program Director at the Community College of Allegheny County in Monroeville, PA. My passion is ignited when I see students dive deeply into their search for knowledge and skills, and when they reach success in helping other people be free from pain and stress as well as in their own journey.
